Hello everyone!

I wanted to share an update of something that happened today! God gave me an opportunity to share his name with a man in a coffee shop here in Jordan. It was  truly beautiful!

Me and my friend Brett were sitting down talking about scripture and what God has done in our lives. I remember the last thing I said before this man started talking was: “I just want people to have the hope that I have In Jesus. I want their life to be transformed just like Jesus has in my life. That they would know Jesus and get to spend eternity with him.”

For privacy/safety, I don’t want to share his name. Please pray for him. I will refrain from saying his name, so I will say “John.”

John is from Jordan. He asks us where we are from. We said, “America.” John replies and talks about his desire to live in America. How the opportunities here in Jordan are very lacking. He ends up sharing some of his beliefs about inner peace and how movements help your body. He said he wanted change in his life. I don’t know everything about what he believed. I do know Jesus desires to know this man! He asked what book I was reading. I said: “The Holy Bible.” I really felt prompted by The Holy Spirit to share more. I got to share how Jesus changed my life and that his word changed my life. He spoke a fair amount of English. He asked what I did back home in the states. I shared how I used to serve in the youth ministry back home. I shared how I love to teach and share my love for Jesus with others. He then responded with: “Teach me something.”

I want to take a pause here and say wow! Thank you Lord for this opportunity to share your name and your love with this man.

The first and most well known verse/section of scripture came to my mind. He ended up reading John 3:16-21 with me.

“”For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.””

??John? ?3:16-21? ?ESV??

After I finished reading with him and sharing more about Jesus, he then asks me: “Where can I get one of these books?” I said I will find you one. We ended up talking to him more and he left. I got his information so I can get him a Bible.

Pray that he would know Jesus and that Jesus would reveal himself to him through scripture, dreams, visions, anything.

  1. You are right where you were meant to be. I love it when God arranges these encounters. Prayers for John and that you are able to obtain a Bible for him.

  2. OH MAN! That is so good, Lee! Yes! God is doing so much through you and Brett as you continue to walk out your faith. Come on! We will continue to pray for John as God reveals himself to him. We will be waiting for the next chapter! Blessings, brother.

  3. Praise God for the opportunity to share. It did not escape my notice that you were testifying to Brett of how God changed your life. I have always heard that people can’t argue with our testimony and what God has done for us.
